We love that there are so many men bonding together over a sport they love while raising money to fight human trafficking, specifically for Seeds of Hope, an organization in Costa Rica that is restoring lives in high risk communities where sex and labor trafficking are strong.  They help in family prevention, restoration, and train student leaders in an effort to change and transform the lives of those in their communities, offering them a much brighter future.  We are so thankful to hear that $3,120 was raised this year!
There were so many people who worked hard for this event such as individuals from Church of Bergen who donated their sound equipment.  We are thankful for the heart and leadership in Mike Dykhouse and Danielle Hoitsma who pull this event together flawlessly each year. It is always our pleasure to join in partnership for this event.
This year the tournament turned out to have a beautiful sunny day (that was not overly cold). We know you loved the great baked goods made by Becky David, other foods to eat from the grill cooked by Don Hoitsma, coffee and hot chocolate donated by Starbucks, cold and tasty Fair Trade ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, face painting for children done by Kellianne Lorenzo and Taylor Kelcee, Giants tickets for the raffle donated by Vic & Marisa Nitti, a few games for kids to play, and lots of great football games to watch from the side lines!
Alec from Love True spoke about the prevalence of sex trafficking here in the United States and how we can form ways of seeing an end to its growth.  He told about what Love True does and encouraged the men to continue to seek justice and to respect women with dignity.
Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday!  We hope that you will consider giving to our organization.  Please see our donation page or go directly to our paypal page to donate.  100% of your donation will go towards awareness, prevention, and helping survivors of human trafficking.
