In between days of rain, we were blessed with a great sunny day for our food truck event! We had over 600 people come to the event, who all looked to be having a great time. The food trucks had so much business, that most ran out of food! We had support from locals; even the mayor of North Haledon, Randy George, came out, as well as other town officials. People even drove from far distances to support the event. We are extremely grateful to all the vendors, food trucks, organizations, and those who helped us out throughout the event. It is so wonderful that our sponsors High Mountain Church and NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking did all that they did to make this event possible and successful. We had far more interaction at our info tables this year than last year. We were glad for the many people who have a concern for human trafficking and an interest for learning more about slavery happening around the world, as well as within our own country and state.
We raised $2500 that went to scholarships for survivors through SOAP. The survivors attend retreats free of charge. The retreats provide fellowship and programming that facilitate healing and restoration.
