Pornography is more available today than ever before in history. There is a big company that makes it too easy to access it.  Several women have recently come out against this company, as they were in videos recorded when they were children that were posted throughout the website. Some of these videos are still available to watch today.  These women state how their rapes and sex trafficking should not be readily available as entertainment for people’s lusts. It is criminal; plain and simple, but somehow their videos continue to circulate and the website has not been shut down.

We highly recommend reading some of these brave survivor stories!

• Read about this survivor who was trafficked at age 11 by her own father; who allowed her to be recorded in videos in a warehouse as she was raped by those who paid for her to be abused however they pleased.
• This woman talks about her rape at age 14.  She was taken by knife point into a car and filmed several times during her 12-hour abduction.  Her video was posted on Porn Hub, but they never took it down no matter how many times she contacted them to do so; explaining her torment of how it was filmed.
• A girl was found at 15 after going missing for a year. 58 of her videos were on the website and it was part of how she was identified and found.  This link explains how easy it is for videos to be posted to the website.
• Julie Cordua gave a TED talk about her investigative work in finding images and videos of children in pornography and how she is working towards ending it through “hash” programming.

How can you help make a difference and change this problem?
One way is by signing a petition to shut down Porn Hub!
Another way is to attend the free local Bergen County SOAP (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) event coming up March 22. Theresa Flores was trafficked as a teenager and gives a training session to those who attend.  Then people are put into groups to go to certain motels with missing children posters in order to ask the hotel workers if they can identify any of the children.  The information is then sent to authorities.  A lot of children are photographed and recorded for pornography in hotels!  You will be given the ability and resources to possibly help in the rescue of one of these children.
