EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!
There will be a clothing drive at Paramus Park Chico’s store (1073-B Paramus Park Mall, Paramus , NJ) this Friday [there might be more locations, stay tuned for updates]! When you buy clothing from Chico’s from 3-8 PM on the 18th, you’ll receive 10% off only when you bring your donated, gently used clothing. It will then be passed on to us. Please post the above flyer on your social media websites!
Justice Network works with the FBI to provide clothing for girls rescued from human trafficking who only have their street clothes. They need clothing for court hearings or something to wear that is modest and comfortable after a rescue operation.
We also donate “like new” clothing to Cabrini’s Closet, a closet specifically for trafficking survivors looking for job training (a rep is pictured picking up clothing). They state, “As an integral part of their healing and rehabilitation, they will receive job training. In order to restore a sense of self-esteem and to be able to go on job interviews, they need to be appropriately dressed.”
Clothing donations also go to Restore NYC and the Walter Hoving Home for the women that are in their restoration programs, and to Unshattered, a social enterprise for survivors who make handbags out of repurposed materials, creating wholeness from pieces.
