It Could Be Me

January 11 is Human Trafficking Awareness Day.  On that day, we want to encourage everyone to take pictures to post on your social media expressing that YOU could become a victim of modern-day slavery. Write “It Could Be Me” on a piece of paper or cardboard (or be completely creative in how you do it).  If you are not comfortable about that, Love True has created images for you to post up (a few have been posted here for you).  They leave you with a few options to include as messages with the pictures (also posted below).

Option #1

The world is becoming more aware of the epidemic of human trafficking.
And yet while awareness is growing rapidly, many are left wondering where their place is in the battle against present-day slavery.  Love True works to end sex trafficking in America, largely through restoration of victims and awareness. Awareness can save lives. Stand up against slavery and re-share an It Could Be Me image or make your own! #ItCouldBeMe #Sexslavery #humantraffickingawareness @lovetruehome

Option #2
There are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in human history, with an estimated 21 million in bondage across the globe. Every 30 seconds another person becomes a victim of human trafficking. Awareness can save lives. Stand up against slavery and re-share an It Could Be Me image or make your own! Don’t forget to hashtag #ItCouldBeMe #Sexslavery #humantraffickingawareness @lovetruehome

Option #3
Who is at risk for being sex trafficked? Anyone. People from every group, demographic, gender, age, nationality, socio-economic, or citizenship can become a sex trafficked victim. Traffickers (Pimps and Madams) target those who are vulnerable and impressionable.  Awareness can save lives. Stand up against slavery and re-share an It Could Be Me image or make your own! #ItCouldBeMe #Sexslavery #humantraffickingawareness @lovetruehome
