Justice Network is thrilled to announce the newest arm in our fight for freedom! Love Links launched on November 20th.
What is Love Links?
Love Links is a woman to woman ministry that desires to spread the love of Jesus while visiting strip clubs and connecting with those in the industry. The team will visit clubs in the North Jersey area once a month, bringing small gifts to the dancers, owners and bouncers of these establishments. The goal is to show them that they are loved, valued beautiful and respected just as they are. We desire to build relationships of trust and genuine friendship with them, providing an environment where they can speak honestly with us, where there is no judgment. We want to speak words of encouragement, truth and life into their hearts. We want them to recognize they are important, thought of, cared for, and prayed over.
Why are we doing this?
We do this because she cannot be overlooked. Because our words are empty without love and our love is no good inside the walls of the known and safe. We don’t want to just be the mouth of abolition, but the hands and feet, too.
Victims of sex trafficking are frequently recruited to work in strip clubs across the United States. Women, men, and minors may be recruited to work in strip clubs as hostesses, servers or dancers, but then are required to provide commercial sex to customers. Individuals forced to serve as hostess, servers, or dancers but not required to provide commercial sex may still be victims of labor trafficking. (Source)
